From 4 wheels to 2!

Blake got a new big boy bike for his 5th birthday. He spent 4 days on the bike with the training wheels on. One training wheel kept coming loose, so we decided to try him without them. He spent about an hour crashing and getting back up only to crash again. Then, he got it and stayed on longer and longer! By the time it was almost dusk, he was racing the girl up the street! Talk about excited. Here are just a few of the pics!

Newest additions to the family

So, I have been battling the pet whine! Blake has wanted a pet for so long. Well, his godmother heard him whining and decided to buy him his birthday present early.

More pics from our day in court and our lunch afterward!

YEA!!! It's done and Blake is officially now: BLAKE CHARLES WESTACOTT. I can't tell you how excited I am. I think my face had a permanent smile plastered on it during court. The judge actually chuckled at me because I kept smiling so much! I am so grateful to God for the blessings he has brought upon my life. Enjoy the pics!

Adoption

Today, I will become an official Mommy. My son and I will appear before the judge, he will change his last name, and I will officially and legally assume ALL responsibility for his life. Wow! I thought this day would never come. I am scared, but a good scared. I am realizing that now his everything is all on me. Of course, it isn't like I really had a choice about it before or like I am chainging my mind - BECAUSE I AM NOT!!! I guess I am just realizing all of a sudden that my dream is finally becoming a reality. I am really excited! We have waited for this day for so long - I can't believe it is finally here!

I am going to be a Mommy - I AM GOING TO BE A MOMMY! How incredibly cool is that?

Craft Night

My friend's daughter, Victoria, and Blake made bouncy balls tonight. They were so cute and were so proud when they were finished. The balls actually bounced and looked pretty cool. Victoria gave Blake her little ball and he said, "Look Mommy! Eyeballs!" They were so cute, I just had to get some pics!

VBS

Blake attended a Vacation Bible School program at a church down the street. We have already done one at our church this summer, but thought he might enjoy meeting new friends and spending some time learning about Jesus. I also thought it might give him something to do this week. We might just do another one before the summer is over! He has had a good time this week. Tonight was their little program and he was so cute. I spiked his hair and he kept saying, "All the girls are gonna love my hair! They are gonna think I am so cute!" He is such a little heart breaker. He has several "girlfriends" at church and he is always saying he is going to marry this person and that person. I am afraid his teenage years are going to be hard on his Mommy!

I found this picture today, and I just can't help staring into his eyes. He is so beautiful and I think this may be my new favorite picture!

I can swing!

After enduring endless requests of "Push me, Momma!", my baby has finally learned how to swing himself! He was so proud, he actually wanted me to take his picture! The sad thing is: I actually miss him asking for me to push him. He is growing up too fast and I feel like I am going to miss out on so much! Why can't they still little forever!?!

Just catching up

It has been a while since I have updated this. Kelli has been after me to get some new pics on here, so I thought while I had some spare time, I would update this some. These are just some random pics...hope you enjoy! We went to a carnival and they had some Star Wars guys there and Blake was so fascinated. He kept running up to them asking if they had just beat up the bad guys. He was so cute! The pics of him in a blue shirt are from our VBS at church. He was singing in their little program at the end of the week. He usually doesn't sing, but he did this time and actually did all of the motions. Mommy was so proud!

Easter at Clinton's Trailer

So, we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at the Clinton Library and it was AWFUL!!! It was muddy and there were so many people. We had to wait in line to get 6 eggs and they had little bitty pieces of stuff in them. There were tiny erasers, stickers, and we ended up with one piece of candy and it was a carmel. As we were leaving, we actually had gotten 9 eggs, and they took the extra eggs from my child's basket and put them in a pile. It was crazy! Needless to say, we shall never go back....we enjoy the egg hunts at home and at church so much better!
